A fantastic podium result for Renato on debut in the 2015 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.
After a non-start in 2014 due to an accident in Practice 1 destroying the car before Renato was able to drive, this years result confirms Renato’s ability behind the wheel of the Ferrari.
In what is Australia’s biggest and best GT race, with a combined global audience of over 2-million viewers, Renato and his co-drivers, Andrea Montermini, and Benny Simonsen started on the rear of grid (P50) due to a minor mechanical fault grounding the car in Qualifying. They fought through the field to finish an amazing 6th outright, and 2nd in Class, the top finishing privateer team, and top finishing Ferrari.
Renato works closely with the Melbourne-based Vicious Rumour Racing team, providing coaching and engineering services to the team, and owner Tony Defelice.
